Born in Manhattan, I grew up in the university town of Princeton, New Jersey. As a child, I was enthralled by classic movies from the silent era through the 1960s. My Saturday nights were mainly spent watching films displaying the amazing talents of enduring Hollywood stars: Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Bette Davis, Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Katherine Hepburn, Rita Hayworth, Lena Horne, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren and many others. Along with classic cinema, I was exposed to a variety of performing arts on stage locally, as well as on and off Broadway. As an actor, I would define myself as a student of life, someone who has a constant hunger for knowledge. Mirroring real life, actors are also like teachers, inviting people to look at the world we live in and encouraging them to evaluate life and the human condition. My choice to be an actor not only comes from a longtime love of film and the performing arts, but also out of my desire to entertain, educate and inspire. Along with acting, I love music, especially jazz and the blues, and have had extensive vocal training. I have worked as an artist mentor to youth in both New York (Harlem Children’s Zone, Classic Stage Company) and New Jersey (Passage Theatre’s State Street Project). Maintaining an active lifestyle, I enjoy running, swimming, yoga, and Pilates. I also love to travel and have had the opportunity to visit France, Italy, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, Croatia, Greece, Mexico, and South Africa. I yearn to travel more and to continue to explore different cultures, traditions, languages, and, of course, the arts! Enjoy learning more about me and my work through this site.
